1. How do we find you?
From the North heading South:
Follow the A9 into Brora. You will pass the Sutherland Arms Garage on the left. Ahead, you will see a bridge over the river and a large clock tower. Before crossing the river, turn right. Follow this road for 1 mile. You will pass a picnic site on the right, then a row of houses and a small red post box. Turn right at the post box. Brora Escapes is the fourth on the left (look for the house with red eaves).
From the South heading North:

After crossing the river, turn immediately left. Follow this road for 1 mile. You will pass a picnic site on the right, then a row of houses and a small red post box. Turn right at the post box. Brora Escapes is the fourth on the left (look for the house with red eaves).

2. What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. We offer self-check-in using a key safe, and we will send you details by email and WhatsApp before your arrival. Please contact us in advance if you need an early check-in or late check-out. This may be possible for a small additional fee.
3. Is there a minimum night stay?
1 night stays are currently welcome but this may change. Please check our booking calendar for specific availability.
4. How many people can stay in each unit?
We are an ideal couples’ retreat. Each of our glamping pods comfortably sleeps 2 adults in a double bed but can also accommodate 2 adults or 2 children on the double sofa bed. Our pods are automatically set up for 2 people unless specified at the time of booking. Our guest studio sleeps two adults in a king-sized bed.
Please note we do not allow hen or stag parties.
5. How many guest units are on-site?
We have 2 luxury glamping pods, each offering a peaceful retreat next to our farmhouse. We also have a self-contained, private guest studio adjoining our farmhouse with its own secure entrance and private deck.
6. Is smoking allowed?
No, smoking is not allowed anywhere on site.
Pets and Accessibility
7. Are dogs allowed?
We allow 1 well-behaved dog per pod. We ask that dogs remain off the furniture and on a lead in shared areas. Please do not leave dogs unattended in the pods. We do not allow dogs in our guest studio.
8. Are there dog-friendly activities nearby?
Plenty! Our top five furry pastimes include a walk on Brora Beach, a dip in Loch Brora, Brora Riverside Walk, exploring Carn Liath Iron Age Broch and a walk up to Big Burn.
Facilities and Amenities
9. Do you have WiFi?
Yes, we offer free WiFi across the site, but due to our rural location, speeds may vary.
10. Are there shops or restaurants nearby?
Yes, the nearest shops, pubs and restaurants are a 5-minute drive away. Dog-friendly options include Cocoa Skye Café, Brora Heritage Centre Café (opening summer 2025), Clynelish Distillery Bar and Café, and the Royal Marine Bar and Restaurant. We’re happy to recommend places to eat!
11. Do any units have a hot tub or fire-pit?
We do not have hot tubs. Each area has an outdoor space for dining and relaxing under the stars. The pods each have a chiminea fire and the guest studio has exclusive use of our rural, rustic campfire. We supply a firelighting kit and starter logs.
12. Is there parking on-site?
Yes, we provide free parking for all guests, with one dedicated space adjacent to each pod on the upper level of the site. The guest studio parking is on the lower level of the site, with a short walk to the accommodation. Additional parking may be available upon request.
